Christian Life

Sunday School for all ages at 9:45AM

• Four adult classes: 
  • Men's Bible Study - Coffee, fellowship and Bible Study
  • Women's Bible Study
  • Partner's Class - Discussion format 
  • CAYA - Come As You Are! - Young Adult Class -- Issue format
• Children from Crib to youth are divided into classes for Bible learning
  and exploration in a relaxed age-appropriate approach.

Additional Children's Programs:

• Kids for Christ - Mid-week fellowship for 2nd to 5th grades in the fall and spring.  Meets two times per month from 3:00-4:00 pm. This is an opportunity for all children in the Burgaw Community to learn and grow closer to Jesus Christ.  (Photos)

• Vacation Bible School is a two day program held each year on the campus of Kirkwood Retreat and Conference Center. It is held in late spring or early summer.

• We promote Camp Kirkwood and Camp Monroe for quality summer camping experiences.

Youth group:

• In the fall of 2004 we will be expanding our middle school youth activities to include more activities and outings. 

Adult Service and Fellowship:

Prime Timers:

Our older adults group fellowships and care for one another through a variety of activities and outing during the year. Through the leadership of a planning council the Prime Timers have theme dinners at Christmas and Valentines that draw a large percentage of our older adults. Outings in the past have included group trips to Broadway musicals in Myrtle Beach, SC, Tour of the Duplin County Winery, and Riverdance. if you are interested to learn more please contact the church.

Presbyterian Women

Our Presbyterian Women's Circles meet on the Monday after the first Sunday each month.

Each circle provides fellowship and Bible study for the women of Burgaw. each Circle is following the horizon's Study Guide and helping with mission projects. 

•  Circle 2 meets at 10 am at church
•  Circle 1 meets at 3 PM at church
•  Circle 3 meets at 8 PM in various homes

Periodic/Seasonal Programming for Adults:

• Mid-week Bible Studies -- One in the fall, One is spring.
• Devotional guides for Advent and Lent
• Small group topical studies or discussions.  We have several for you to choose from, so you can easily fit one into your schedule.

Child Care Program

     The Church supports a Childcare and Preschool for 2- 4 year olds and an after school program for Kindergarten to 12 years of age. Registration for Church members is in March. Open registration begins in April. A special full day Summer Program is provided for school aged children up to 12 years of age.
